Angela Knight Designs is a residential design firm focusing on kitchen & bathroom projects, the selection of architectural finishes, fireplace surrounds, lighting, and more. Whether renovating your kitchen or building a new home, we provide more than twenty years of experience and industry knowledge.
At Angela Knight Designs we spend time with each and every client listening to what they want to achieve, and applying our resources and expertise to help them obtain their design goals. We believe great designs are elegant, yet functional, and fit the client’s lifestyle. They should be in balance with, and enhance, the whole home. It is important to us that each client realizes the style and finished look they desire.
About Our Founder.
Angela Knight, CKBR
Founder and Chief Designer
After graduating from Florida Southern College in 1997 with a degree in Mass Communications & Advertising, I began working for a cabinet company in Sarasota, Florida. While there, I fell in love with designing. I apprenticed under a senior designer and taught myself how to use the kitchen and bath design program, 2020 Design. Within a year I moved to Charlotte, and started working as the sole designer for a local kitchen and bath remodeling firm. I stayed with that firm for several years and while there, I became a Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler (CKBR) through the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). I also traveled to the factories of some of the nation’s leading cabinet manufacturers, and spent time with the owners learning about their hands-on processes for building the best cabinets offered today. After getting married and starting a family, I decided to leave that firm and began doing freelance design work for some of Charlotte’s most prestigious builders and remodelers. In 2011, I decided to establish Angela Knight Designs, and am happier than I’ve ever been in my career. Today, I work with builders, architects, and homeowners throughout the Charlotte metropolitan area to help them achieve finished spaces that reflect each client’s personal taste and style. In addition to my work with clients, I continue to be an active member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), maintain strong relationships with many of the leading local residential building and remodeling suppliers, and attend regular continuing education classes and local seminars on industry trends and advancements.
